Couch Potato - Features and Screenshots

When you are ready to watch some TV, open Couch Potato and press the "Load Listings" button. Couch Potato loads an updated feed of the number of hours that you've specified (up to 24). The listings will automatically refresh every 15 minutes, and completed shows will drop off the list as they finish.

By default, you will be shown a list of all shows that are currently playing. There are two other views: a full schedule of all upcoming shows, and a list of your favorite shows that you have scheduled to watch.

The Full Schedule shows all upcoming shows in all of your selected channels. By default, the next three upcoming shows are displayed. You can click the channel name and the list will expand to show all upcoming shows. You can also click the show all shows button at the top to fully expand all channels.

If you see a show that you want to watch, click the green checkbox icon and it will be added to your scheduled shows list. If you come across a show that you don't ever watch, use the red X icon to delete it from your schedule forever.

The bottom list shows all shows that you've scheduled to watch. You can use the two arrow icons at the top of the screen to resize this window to your preferences.

The display refreshes every 15 minutes, and shows drop off of the list once they are completed. If you want to refresh it at any time, just click on the clock at the top. When your listings have expired, click on "Load Listings" to download a new set of listings.

General Preferences

Enter your Username abd Password, and choose how many hours of listings to download (between 1 and 24 hours) when you click "Load Listings" on the front of the widget. From this screen you can also check for a new version (or donate with PayPal.)

Channels and Lineups

You can create multiple lineups in your Zap2it account. For instance, you can have one in your home town and one when you go on vacation without losing your local lineup. There is also a link to go directly to labs.zap2it.com to update your channels and lineups.

Shows To Ignore

Shows in this list will never be displayed in the Upcoming Shows list. Enter one show per line. Use the icon in the Upcoming Shows list to add shows to this list from the front of the widget.

If you want to perform a wildcard match on a word or phrase, add a * on that line. A wildcard search also searches the show's description.

Shows in this list will always be added to your Scheduled Shows list. Enter one show per line. Use the icon in the Scheduled Shows list to add shows to this list from the front of the widget.
