Create a LaunchAgent Item

Force a program to start automatically on login and then automatically restart itself if it is quit.

Place the following file in ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.TextEdit.plist

Modify the filename, "Label" and "ProgramArguments" as desired. Log Out, and Log back in.
